- This laser is an overstock item we are clearing out of our inventory. The item was purchased in late 2008, used intermittently on a test instrument in our laboratory, and retired from service in late 2010. We have since adopted an alternate red long-coherence length laser for our production and test equipment and thus no longer have a need for this item. The number of hours on the unit is unknown, but our best estimates are at a few thousand hours. This unit is in beautiful physical and operating condition and includes all original parts and comes in the orginial box. Laser output is measured at 137mW; specified output is 150mW. Images attached show the excellent laser stability and output power at or exceeding spec. Single-mode operation was tested using a measurement technique known as diffusing wave spectroscopy (DWS). Non-SLM operation results in a signal magnitude well under 1. Anything between 0.8 and 1.0 indicates long coherence. Additional testing with a Fabry Perot interferometer to further prove SLM operation can be performed but at customer's expense. The shipping costs are to be paid by the customer.
